Terminated w/ Cutts compensator marked w/ Thompson bullet logo, Cutts logo, "Auto-Ordnance Corporation" & patent dates. Vertical wood forearm. Front blade sight integral w/ compensator & rear is adj. Lyman graduated sight. Hardwood, rear stock w/ trapdoor buttplate. Sling swivels front and rear. Slotted top mounted cocking knob. Parkerized finish on exposed metal surfaces. Left side receiver markings are as follows: Ordnance ‘Flaming Bomb' & Inspectors marks "GEG" & "RLB" indicating that it was inspected by George E. Goll, Auto-Ordnance's chief inspector & Army Inspector of Ordnance Ray L. Bowlin. "U.S. Model of 1928 A1", "Thompson Submachine Gun", "Calibre 45 Automatic Cartridge" & serial number. Right side markings include patent block on rear of receiver & "Auto-Ordnance Corporation", "Bridgeport Connecticut, U.S.A.". Trigger frame serial number S-105386. MAGS: 1 steel 30 rd. CONDITION: dark arsenal parkerized finish retains uniform coverage w/ typical thinning on high spots & in areas of mechanical intervention. All original markings are easy to read, remaining sharp & legible. Wood furniture has a matching, dark finish w/ a few period typical depressions. Bright bore w/ strong rifling, showing some internal ringing approximately 4.5 inches from muzzle. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand.
